Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead coordination and management of environmental services during emergency responses.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and regulators to assess environmental concerns and data needs.
  • Assume key roles in the command post, coordinating with various teams to deploy resources effectively.
  • Provide technical guidance, ensuring quality data and reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Environmental Response Program.
  • Support client preparedness through training and participation in exercises.
  • On-call availability for emergency response and frequent travel required.

Key Activities:

  • Act as an expert consultant and project manager for Environmental Response Projects.
  • Prepare work plans and ensure compliance in the field.
  • Coordinate resource allocation with internal and external partners.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality data deliverables.
  • Maintain relationships with partners and contribute to capability enhancement.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and technical consulting to clients and team members.
  • Identify and develop client relationships to expand environmental response services.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field with seven years of experience, or Master’s degree with five years preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills required.
  • Significant project management experience, preferably in emergency response.

Certifications/Abilities:

  • Ability to obtain necessary clearances and certifications.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport required.
  • Preferred environmental certifications such as REM, CEP, CHMM.
  • Completion of job-specific OSHA training.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based work when not on emergency response.
  • Exposure to outdoor environments and physical hazards during deployments.
  • May work at high altitudes and in various settings with potential hazards.
  • Frequent, extended travel expected.
